My first large lace doily. I love the design. I don't remember where I got the design. Most likely a free one. It was done in a 4x4 hoop with one layer of heavy weight Solvy WSS. Measures about 10 inches across. I will probably become a gift. I was delighted as to how it turned out. I stitched it together before removing the stablizer. This worked well for me. The picture still has WSS in it. There was no loss of shape after rinsing out.

I only remembered as I had made the doily and one day looking in Dainty Stitches there it was, then the light bulb went on, thats where I got it from lol

Thank you. I have since washed out the WSS and the center ripple has disappeared. I do hope to do at least one other one with a pineapple I got free. I saw a double pineapple but it was very expensive so I'll wait a while for that.
