these are needed to put onto "pillowcase" dresses for children in Honduras. they wash their clothes on the rocks so normal buttons would soon be lost but if they are actually embroidered they would still look the part

The first link is a Brother buttonhole kit that comes with some designs. The second link has downloadable buttonholes. Search "buttonhole" at Stitcherymall.com

thank you but would like the button hole and the button combined or applique buttons would be nice with the sew holes done too I know its a lot to ask for.
by sewmom 05 Feb 2009
I'm sorry. I can't quite picture what you are asking for.

imagine a picture of a button hole with a button fastened in it thats what i would love to get. normal buttons would simply be broken on the rocks when the garments are washed and these would simply be used as decoration possibly on top of hook and loop fastening or press studs or even hook and eye fastenings.

I'm not sure what that looks like either. Do you have a picture? It sounds like a great idea, if I understand correctly. I have made some little dresses that need the same type closures that will really hold up. Maybe someone can help. *

imagine embroidering part of a button hole then the button and then the rest of the button hole. it would look like a button had actually been placed into a button hole but its all embroidered to just look like its real.tahts the best way of trying to explain this I have never seen it done but would imagine it as a great idea for childrens clothes or even the disabled who have dificulty fastening buttons, hook and loop fastenings could be seen onto the back of the embroidered design

It sounds interesting, and I would like to help. Can you provide a picture of a dress? Do you want the designs to look like real buttons, or something prettier? I'm going to think on it, and see what I can come up with. Oh, and the lace lady bug here at "Cute" looks like a button, and is up as a freebie quite often. If something like that would work, put in a voting request to Levita.

thank you for the offer of help with this one there are lots of sites that show pillow case dresses but my friend and i want to put on shoulder straps instead of just tape but it would have to be done so it could be adjusted we can use hook and loop but wanted it to look like it had been fastened with a button through a button hole so yes real buttons so a a design that LOOKs LIKE a button going through a Buttonhole. all in one !
