I received an e-mail from a church member requesting decorations for our first community communion prayer service. Because our Father in Heaven has said "Where there are 2 or more gathered, there will I be also", Our Pastor is holding a community night of prayer. He would like it to be a dark setting lite with candles. I have just received this request and it is to be held Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Normally this would be no problem, but I have foster parenting class all day Sunday, I work from 1:30 pm to 12:00 am Mon thru Friday. I have a small window of time to come up with something, shop and have it arranged before I have to go to work on Tuesday. I need ideas that would involve candles, 2 communion tables, a large stage in background. I am not asking for much am I? I know with all the rilliant people here, someone (s) will come to my rescue.

I did some lovely lace crosses with flowers on, from Sadia, I cannot remember the site but it's probally in our bookmarks,as I got from here. <br />I did them for my easter flower decoration at church- in the projects, too.
I did an altar frontal with three crosses, in gold ribbon, and writing, you could do it on a white table cloth. It was quite simple to do. in projects.

Camylow, If you belong to Mountain Thread Art's group, she has a members page that will take you to a page on her website with lots of freebies. Along with them is a Bell called I know who I am sampler. This bell is made up of words followed by where it can be found in the Bible. She also has several scriptures that can be downloaded. All for free. There is also on that page, near the bottom some free alphas which includes a Bible and a Rugged Cross Alpha, several angles. Why now take the scriptures and place frames around them. Quick and easy sewing. The Bell is in a 5x7 and 6x10 size. How large a field can you embroider. Good Luck

Designsbysick has votive candle holders...X-mas designs (but you could use the small crosses that Meganne has in designsbycuties (right here on this site.)) For the stage I would just hang white fabric...maybe 12 to 14 inches wide (like a ribbon) The communion tables could have table cloths with crosses on the bottom like a border. Isn't there a site called Holy Threads or something like that??? Come on Cuties I know we can ALL help with this one:)
