While doing some cleaning and downsizing I found the blank that my older daughter had done candlewicking embroidery on when she was a teenager. She is now 42 years old. I quilted it and finished this as a table runner for her. I put the lable on it so that maybe one day she can pass it down to one of her sons, and they will know that both Mom, and Gramma worked on this as a labor of love. Isn't it remarkable what we pack away and find years later?

Thank you - when I told my daughter about it she asked me if she did a good job, because if she didn't then she did not want it. what a little stinker!

It is Dionna but not all 'pack-a-ways' end up with such a useful outcome. Ingenuity is what it's called :-) :-)

that's fantastic! I know it will be loved through the years! Aren't you glad you kept it!! My daughter made some Christmas napkins when she was about 10 in the Girl Scouts. They really weren't too good...but we STILL use them every Christmas when all the family gets here (She'll be 40 in June!) and we laught & remember HER granny that helped her that year!

Your daughter did a great job on her candlewicking. I tried it one time and didn't like it.
