Here is a scarf I'm making Grandma... Still need to tack down the two "Free Standing Designs" I created, but I don't know if I'll be able to take a picture before I wrap it up for her after it's officially done. :-) Think I'll add some pom poms at the bottom along the border too... we'll see. I'm going to visit Queen Esther next week! I'm so excited to see her girls... it will be close to a month between visits, but the 425 mile one way trip is really hard for me to do...and this time Jim can't go with me. ;-( Anyway, the designs I bought last weekend at the Anita Goodesign conference... collection is called Baby Tea Party. I used a funky cool fabric for the bear... soft and cuddly!

So are you saying - that you are using FSL designs to adorn your scarf? This is a cute scarf and I know tha Esther will love it, too. Have fun on your trip up north.

OK - explain free standing design to me. Is this done on fabrick and then applied to the project, like your scarf? You engoy your vist with Queen Esther, and tell her all of Cute love to see and hear about her.

Oh Beth, I really thank you on inspiring me to work with fleece. Yes, you stitch on a separate piece of fabric and then stich it on the item... this way, there is also less of a chance of the machine "eating" something you really like. lol. I used felt and it came out just lovely.

Give our best to Queen Esther from all of us here at Cute. Every time I see a giraffe design I think of both of you. Hope you have a good trip and that she is doing well. Hugs and *'s, Lois

Very nice designs. I'm sure Q.E will love it. So glad you'll be able to see her. I visited my Esther last week, that's only 400 km, not miles and I wouldn't do the return the same day. Have a very nice time.
