Just got back from quilt guild meeting. During show and share there were three quilts with machine embroidery worked into them. It was great to see someone else using this concept.

stork, that is great - did you learn anything new - that you can share with us or did you make a project - that you can show in the project section? Sounds like fun.

I made a quilt using squares that I embroidered bouquets of flowers on. I pieced around the squares with strips of varying width and then trimmed them at different angles to square them up.

I have used embroidery in my quilts but seeing the use of other designs can be very inspiring.

Gald to hear it too...I've used embroidery in serveral quilts since I have gotten my machine. Especially like to be able to accent on the borders with simular designs.

Quilters/embroiderers, check out Hoopsisters. They have in-the-hoop quilting patterns. Our local dealer is offering classes, many other dealers are, too. Hoopsisters also has a Yahoo group, which is fun, and people help each other with their quilting questions. Hugs, Marji
