Does anyone use the small hoop with their machine? What are the benefits of having one? Will it be worth the purchase? TIA ;D

I have one that I use for small designs for my soaps and baby designs. Don't use it much for anything else.

My small hoop came in a package deal with my machine some years ago and I use it mainly for small hankies, socks and baby designs - it's very good for that. But I'm not sure if I would invest in it separately as I wouldn't have enough use for it. Hope this helps you.

I have one, and it depends what type of work you do. It is wonderful for putting small designs on sleeve's cuff, small monograming on shirts and any small design, it is also great for baby items

bu the way, my smallest one is about 1 1/2 inch x 2 and was $30.00 wich is the same price of a 4x4 but it you think you will use it is worth it bescause it saves you from having to reap seams

I use mine mostly for monograms and really small designs...If it didn't come with the machine I wouldn't have made a special purchase...I pin sock..sleeves and collars to stabilizer when it can't be hooped!!!

Small designs in small hoops. You use the hoop that is the smallest possible for the design you are sewing out. All of that blank space just leaves room for more movement, stretching, etc.

My smallest hoop is 120x120cm and that is the one I use the most. I also have one size 150x240c, and 360x200cm. Must say that all 3 hoops came with the machine and i didn't purchase any hoop extra.

My husband bought me one about 2 years ago, and they are quite expensive. I must say I do not use it as often as I should. Only for small designs on collars, mabe pockets, handkerchief, ties, etc. You must decide, where you want to use it, and whether it is going to be worth the money. good luck in deciding. Marietta

I have a 40x40 and it's sorta hard to hoop. You have to squeeze the things together...sorta like the hoops we used to use when we did HAND embroidery! I find I now hoop my stabilizer and baste the item in the hoop most of time. I can get it right where I want it with less worry. But you are supposed to use the smallest hoop possible when you hoop something. Guess it depends on what all you do!
