I wish there were guidelines... the closest thing we had were tutorials that Marji was so kind to write, but honestly, very few people abide by these "rules" so to speak, even though they were released with Veronika's blessing.

I would LOVE to see either a moderator on this site or some posted guidelines on the home page. :-)

Gerry, I'm confused. Which section are the free designs suppose to go in? I, like you, never look in the Bookmark section. What is suppose to go there?

I use the Q&A to mention the new designs that the cuties will not miss. I always replace the tag "general" into "designs" as Marji advised us to do in the tutorials she wrote with the permission of Miss Veronika. New sites I find on the net go into the bookmarkssection. When evrybody uses the tag "designs" they are easy to find for everyone.

I never look in bookmark...1st time yet :o(

Gerry, the bookmark section was created for the freebies and web site links - but do what you want - everyone else does.

Well when I first came to cute the Q & A area was more for asking about tips advice with problems one had while embroidery and stuff like that. The bookmark section was for the links and freebie mostly but these days I do't think it really makes a difference as everybody just put stuff on the Q&A. It would be nice to get back in track but it migt be to late now and nobody pays attention to it.

From what I assumed the last time this subject was mentioned I post ALL design finds / updates in DESIGNS only. I then add Freebie plus any additional info whether it is clipart, hunt, alpha or whatever to that!

But I have noticed that the MAJORITY still just post everything under 'General' and they leave it at that!

I will continue to post under Designs until VERONIKA advises that she wants us to do this otherwise! After all this is her site - BUT in saying that I think that she will see that is works well!

If only everyone will post designs under 'Designs' etc then it will run even smoother - that's just my humble opinion! Otherwise no problem - if it doesn't happen it ain't serious either as it doesn't bug me at all!

Bookmarks? What bookmarks? Just kidding. I see it but have never clicked on it. Guess I'll take a look.

A time ago I asked the community a aimilar question - the majority wanted the posting in the "community Q&A" with tags for "design" and "freebie".
But as a "bookworm" I liked the idea to have a Freebie-Library, so I used the bookmarks more often and posted just in urgent (f.e. time-limited editions) cases here.
And an advantage of the bookmarks section seemed to be the "Already-posted" alert, so you do not bother others with well known sites.
But now I think it over.
In the last weeks the bookmarks section seemed to be abused for disguised advertisement- I don't like that.
So I decided to use the Frontpage with tags in the future- as you adviced earlier... :-) Thanks, you were right, I think.

Originally, the bookmarks section was set up to put freebies, good websites, etc. Then people started just posting freebies in the Q&A section, and not looking in bookmarks. So, I guess just do whatever you wish, Gerry. Putting freebie posts under 'designs' instead of 'general' is a big help, and I surely wish more people would take the time to do that. Click 'tutorials' to the left of the page to learn how, if you don't know. And thanks, Gerry, and the others, who are already doing this, it makes a difference. Hugs, Marji
