thank you for asking and answering this question. I was wondering the same thing.

On the community are you will see a green flower outline that has a plus sign and a number by it (+3*). Click on it and when it changes to orange that means you have given that person a flower. On the projects area is the other way around they are orange and when you click on them thy fade to gray.

Got your answer....BUT IF you want to follow someone special you can click on their name ans see all their questions/answers and give them flowers that way toooo:)

I wondered what the little flowers were for. I came to the site everyday and I would have a few more flowers. Now I know that's great. Ilove getting flowers and I can't remember the last time i got them so now I get a few everyday . Thanks
