I don't know if you can get it in your country or town: Rub eucalyptus oil on the spot leave it a while and then you can wash it in hot water. It is also good to get grease out of clothes Love Marie

Do you know what I mean if I say "purply" coloured spirits? The one to light primus stoves with. Rub some lightly over mark (balpoint ink),on some cottonwool. Do not rub too hard, and then wash the material. Hope the stain in not too old. Goodluck. * for u

Sorry, I forgot that you might call it something else. In South Africa we call it that, and it really works. A primus stove is a little one plate stove that works with oil, but one has to set it alight by using cottonwool soaked in spirits, sorry I do not know what else it can be called?

I'm going to take a wild guess that the "purply" spirits are kerosene here in the USA? My dad used to talk of using a primus stove during WWII, but I don't think we had one. Marji

A dry cleaner can get it out usually, and you won't have that "rubbed" look. Or if you want to do it yourself call Atlanta Thread Supply and see what they have that will do it. 800-847-1001

I USE MEAN GREEN CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE DOLLAR GENREAL STORE AND THE FAMILY DOLLAR STORES AND CAN GET ANY STAIN NEW OR OLD OUT AND EVEN GREASE

Aerosol hair spray and if that does not work try Kiss Off Stick. It usually works for me. Yes, It is called Kiss Off. I have 2 sitting beside my kitchen sink right now. When using hairspray, put a paper towel under it before you spray. the ink usually goes through the material. I keep an old toothbrush to lightly brush the Kiss Off over the ink stain. The age old standard was to soak in milk, but this was the old water type ink. These days I rely on Pre-wash stain removers, and Simple Green (that's what it's called here in Aust).
When all else fails there is a pimple/acne cream that contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and it will remove ink (and permanent marker) from just about anything, just apply, leave for 24 hours or couple of days then wash out, but be careful of unwanted bleaching. It's great for removing scribble from vinyl/plastic dolls.

Oh And lemon juice is supposed to work if mixed into a paste with bi-carbonate of soda. :-)
