I have tried another design for a doily, and decided that I wanted it to look very similar to one that my grandmother made over 65 years ago. This is not the design, but does have the appearance of her work. The design is from Dainty Stitches, doily design #18. It measures 9" across, has 8 panels consisting of a total of 88,811 stitches. I combined the panels so that I could stitch out in one hooping, done in my mega hoop. I loved doing this one, for while it was stitching, I was able to read, and finished my book while this stitched out. I had purchased some of the variaged thread from the BFC stash, just to see how it would stitch out. The thread is very nice, but the varigated spools are only 1000 meters, much smaller than I normally use.
Well done
