Have you tried changing the ompatibility of Wilcom? Right click on Wilcom, choose properties. click on compatibility tab and choose the operating system Wilcom worked on last. Hopefully that helps.

Mary, I know next to nothing about computers, BUT my computer buddies tell me you can put XP on your computer along with Vista. Hopefully you know someone that can do it for you!! I have heard NOTHING good about Vista! I am praying over my old computer every day!! I know for a fact my 3D does not work with Vista either.

wilcom offers no updates i ahve tried the compatability thing and all it is the dongle it is not recognized so i guess it will be me learning embird now lol

I would try what crafter2243 suggested, you could also try runnin the program as administrator. I have vista and do this for my embird.

If you have downloaded your 'Wilcom' try right clicking the icon, then click on 'Run as administrator' another small window will open (somtimes it will sit in your bar u will need to click on it to show up on your screen)then click 'allow' hope this works. I have vista on my desktop. I most certainly DO NOT likie it. it is not user friendly. Ihave herd that u can have xp on as well but I can't find anyone who is willing to download it on my machine for me. Best of Luck

Yep! Vista really Stinks!!! I can deffinately sympathize with you.

I have Vista and down loaded the free version of Wilcom under my Administrator log-on and it does work. Perhaps you can get some help from the companie's web site, there must be lots of people with the same problem.

i have vista and have also the free wilcom,i have no problem with it,maybey you can download it again ,maybey their is a wilcom that supports vista

I couldn't use a lot of programs that I had with vista so I got my computa changed back to XP.I'm happy now no problems

I am having problems too. I just got a new computer last month with a vista 64 bit operating system and several of my programs don't work the same or at all - embroidery or otherwise. The computer is better as it is faster, but sometimes I want my windows xp system back. I can get the wilcom to work only if I open it and then go to file and browse and select the design file that I want to open. If I right click on the file instead and select open it with Wilcom it will open Wilcom, but not the file. It is as if I did not select the file at all. If you come up with a fix for this let me know -- other than going back to xp.

lol are we talking about the same wilcom here i have the digitizing software not talking about truesizer that dont work here either and i am really upset there is no upgrade at all have to up the version of wilcom why do i want to do that i paid a lot for this so why should i pay even more or a upgrade gesh
