I always struggle with this question when asked to make something for others. Think what you would pay for an item if you purchased it at a craft bazaar. That is what others should be paying you. Your time is worth something. FSL takes a long time if that is what the bookmarks are made of. You want more than the thread cost since there is a lot of use on the sewing machine also. I find the thread is the least of the cost of most items. Good luck. Mona

Thank you I go to these craft thigns sometime and I think I can do that and you're right I see people pay good money for things maybe I just nned to get my self confidence up. But thankyou that too helps me. Blessings

Hi, I don't know what the dollar is acording to the SAR but we ask R1.50 per inute and this is fare. then everything is being covered. Love Marie.

Marie, don't overlook the fact that you also have your time and the cost of the stabilizer, too. I was told in the beginnine that you should charge $1 for every 1000 stitches (at times that would be right - but for many - it might be way to much to every think that you could get that amount out of anyone - Hehehe.) I believe you have good answer here - to help you think decide - so I will leave you with a *4U.
