Does anyone here use Embird? I am having a lot of problems writing a text file to upload the colors for a design. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure how this is done, but I know Meg can figure it out! :-) You might want to PM her. xoxo

Have you checked the program's manual? I rember seen something about colors in there. I am not sure what exactly are you trying to do but, if you a trying to change a designs color all you have to do is click the right side button of your mouse over the block that shows the color change that you will like to cange to a different one and you will have an option that says "change from catalog" select your thread brand and from the list that will show on the screen select the tread number.

To create a text colour file, first select and change all the colours to the ones you wish to use and save the .edr colour file.
Then from Manager, find the 'Colour Palette' on the top menu, click on it and select "Save As", when the dialogue box opens, click on the "Save As Type" box at the bottom of the Dialogue box and select "Text File (*.txt) [see picture below, click on it to see a larger view]

I hope this is what you wanted.

You can actually write up text files (for colour information) that Embird will recognise, by using Microsoft WordPad or NotePad, but you must use a specific format [see picture two below] and it must have the exact same name as the design and be saved in the same folder as the design.

Hope this helps, hugs n roses, Meganne

Thanks, Meg. I have digitized quite a number of designs, but are a total ignoramus as far as Manager is concerned.
