For anyone interested OPW has a new set of butterflies that look just like the hand embroidery my mom taught me. There is also a sample available.

I did find a free sample of a handworked butterfly at the link I have added below. There are also some free samples in the Hallett House Designs - Beautiful Butterflies 1,2,3 of filled embroidery.
