Hi, On the turquoise site I downloaded some Dora and My Little Pony designs. Does anyone know if you can sell items embroidered with these designs..I don't want to break any copyrite rules.

This is definitely a NO NO!. You can embroider on things for personal use but NOT FOR SALE due to copyright

Legally, in the US, you can't use it for anything. It is illegal to even download it.

Sandy, those are definitely copyright characters, and the companies who own them sell 'licences' to people to use their characters. If you don't have a license that you paid for to make money with a copyright design, it would definitely be wrong to do so. Whether we like it or not, these things like Disney, Dora, etc., are never going to be legitimately free. The folks who developed them have spent lots of time & money on their artwork, and something just 'clicked' with people and they are popular. People copyright things just in case this happens. So they have the right to make money off their characters, y'all most certainly do NOT unless you pay them for a license. It's just plain illegal, and you could be prosecuted for it. Ignorance is no excuse under the law. Everyone, PLEASE be careful with using licensed characters, or even downloading them for free. Use something else instead, ok? I don't want to bail any of you out of jail. Hugs, Marji
