God bless you too Lillian. It is Easter Sunday evening here about 6.00 and it is pitch black! We had a lovely service today and I sang my Solo - it was a beautiful song called Light of the World.

Happy Easter to you too, Lilian. It's rather sad that Easter, like Christmas, is taken over by commerce and adorned with heathenish symbols. Easter has become synonymous with eggs and bunnies (or hares in our nick of the woods). Eggs were offered to Ostara, a germanic goddess of spring and fertility; farmers used to bury them in their fields to secure a rich harvest. And here daffodils are part of the mix too, although I've no idea where those came from.

Happy Easter, and yes, so many people do forget, and so many lives gets taken on the roads, because all and sundry want to just go and enjoy the "long weekend". God bless. Marietta
