Is pic #5 what you call possum? Our possums are ugly and have a skinny rat type tail. #5 is adorable. Can you tame them? Hugs, Shasta

Yes OUR opossums in the USA (I am in WI.)
are UGLY even the babies are ugly LOL. Ours are also out and about during the daytime, so I don't think they are completely nocturnal.

Hi there Shasta, sorry I didn't see your question 4 days ago - have been at work a lot this past week.
Yes the picture at number 5 when I posted it was a Possum. In Australia they are gorgeous. This particular one is known as a Brushtail possum. They will bite you if cornered or scared, I know it happened to me a few years ago. One got loose in our kitchen - the cat had bought it in. It was only a young one, but boy did it bite. I had to have a series of 3 Tetanus needles over a period of 6 weeks!!!!! I know that they can be tamed.
