Cuties-maybe this isn't a fair question, but if you were going to "pay for" an emb. site sub., other than "Cute" of course, which one would you recomment? I like all types of designs. Thanks. GG

My choice is Designs by SiCK. The ones I've sewn have come out nicely and there are frequent membership sales. You can get over 15,000 designs for a reasonable price.

I was a member of Oregon Patchworks for all of last year. I think the people are good to work with but I did not like the designs all that well. You get 70 designs per month for $18.00. I did purchase the on sale CDs from DesignsbySick. I have also purchased from them on ebay. I love their designs and the prices are always very low.

I couldn't pick just one--like a box of chocolates. I did belong to a group and the moderator of the group posted that she needed ideas for bible covers, so everyone sent her ideas and links for references. When she posted her picture of them, everyone went bananas. Then she SOLD the design to whoever wanted it. I quit. Nice wasn't she? Not like this group :)

In the past year, I have had various paid memberships in "clubs". Before joining, the designs always looked so cute - but after joining they weren't all that apealing, so I haven't re-newed any of my memberships.
I fully intended to get a CUTE membership but the special went off before I got it so I'll wait now until the next time it's offered at a reduced price.

I have more designs now than I will have time to make in my lifetime but a have such a wonderful varied selection to choose when I need to make a gift.

I love Cute and Amazing and would like to have Adorable Applique (but I think they don't sell memberships) and also like Design by Sick, I bought two years membership (they had a very good special) and I am more than happy with them. I also had sweetembroiderydesign but they change to much so I didn't renew it. Flower and XoXo

Artistic Thread Works. Good mix of designs and they always sew out beautifully.

Artistic Threadworks, membership also gets you the wonderful forum, tutorials, etc. Holly Pike is an excellend digitizer, and Larry is a computer expert who can answer almost any question you might have about your computer, designs, machine, and how they all go together. Lovely people!!

I purchase selected designs on very special sales from other places, including SiCK, Embroidery Library, Sonia Showalter. It depends on what kinds of designs you would actually use, where you would get the best value. I love ATW, their designs are wonderfully done, but so many are for children, and I don't ever do things for kids, so that wouldn't be a good choice for me. Maybe it would for you. Research what kind of designs before you join. The OPW designs are wonderful, but I wouldn't want a 'grab bag' of designs for $18 a month. I don't even take a lot of their free designs, I wouldn't use them.

Best of luck to you, whatever you choose. Hugs, Marji

Cute is my only paid membership. Amazing Embroidery designs is a sister of Cute & that would b my other choice if I bought another membership. I do not think there is any better than Cute. *
