Does anyone know how to repair a hole in a knit sweater? Should I use yarn? TIA ;D

Yes...try to match as close as possible...Or if you use a good sturdy stabilizer you could embroider a dense design to cover the hole!!!

I have done this by using an iron on fusible interfacing ( fusiknit ) and then putting an embroidered applique on top. Use the interfacing on the wrong side. You could probably emb. on the topside using wss and a sticky stabelizer in the hoop also... hope this helps!

I would try and match the wool colour and darn it,if it is too noticable then you can either embroider over the top or embroideron some soluable vilene and stitch it onto the jumper after. hope this helps :)
