My son just finished the training for Type 2 Firefighter! It's the first level. He will be fighting wildfires this summer. I'm bursting with pride.

This is the first level where he can get a paid position. He still has a lot of training to become a full fledged fire fighter.

I'm sure you would be proud of him and pray to keep him safe. We just went to the Maryland's Fallen Heroes ceremony on Friday. Lost my brother-in-law,(vol.fire fighter)a few years ago.

I'm so sorry. Of course I worry about that. But I'm proud that he made a decision to do something and he is following through. He has always been my "Danger Boy" now he is channeling it to good use.

You can certainly be proud that your son has decided to be a firefighter. As a volunteer firefighter, in Australia, I've had to fight many, many wildfires & know the feeling of a job well done. Please pass my congratulations onto your son from me, you may never know he may come & help us 'Aussies' at some time in his career. Hugs & Sparkles from minicow

Any time you help others, no matter what the profession, that says a lot about your character, and the way you were raised. Good Job, Mom and congrats to your son. GG
