COMPUTER, my phone and Lord knows what else we have an electircian coming in today to check the rest of the house out. Alot of the breakers and switches were tripped. The power surge strips were humming some burnt up. I have a mess. but no one got hurt so that's what's important. I' at my daughters now using her computer. The thing about it is I got an order to do some shirts for the fire dept and now I have to wait to get my computer back. I know I lost all the designs so I guess I''ll be doing some hutning . hehehe Just say a prayer that the insurance adjuster comes through soon. NO PHONE, NO COMPUTER, NO TV I" M IN THE STONE AGE. hehehe. I still thank the Lord have my sewing machines. So I guess I'll be doing those quilts I haven't had time for . Ronny, dear one - you have my prayers - I know that storm going through you area was going to cause alot of trouble - they always do - going through the Carolina's. I do feel for you - we lost a phone and a PC a few years back - the same way - you are lucky you didn't loose much more than you did. I will keep you in my mind, heart and continue with prayers for you - until you no longer have the need for them. *4U

I am so thankful to hear that no one was hurt during this. The computer, phone and wiring etc can all be fixed and replaced. (Hopefully soon for you) Be sure and stay on top of the insurance company so they send that adjustor out their quickly!. Hugs for you. Mary

Pretty much the same thing happened to us about 4 years ago .... it is such a pain but, the good news is, our insurance paid for a new computer and two tv's. I am happy for you that no one was hurt and that a fire didn't start!!!!!*

THe electritian came and checked everything out and thank goodness the house is ok. So we just have to wait on the insurance company. Hope I can at least replace the computer.

We have a "dish" for our TV and the "ONE AND ONLY TIME" I left the phone line connected overnight, a storm came up, and lightening zapped our phone and tv. NEVER AGAIN. If I just hear lightening, I unplug the phone, and NEVER connect it to the tv. Hine sight is great, isn't it. Hope the insurance pays off. Sorry this happened to you.

I am so sorry to hear this news, I hope your insurance covers everything. Don't give up on your designs yet, usually it is the motherboard that gets damaged during lightning strikes, you may find that the contents of your hard drive are all safe and salvagable, let's hope so.
I'm just relieved to hear no-one was hurt as material things can always be replaced.

I didn't know there were storms coming up and just as I left work it hit. A really nice man appeared from nowhere with an umbrella and walked me to my car.
We were just on the outskirts of the storms so no tornadoes touched down here. I was in heavy traffic and almost panicked, but I was traveling away from the storm so I was ok. It happened right at rush hour traffic. I felt for all those people stuck in traffic and all those warnings going out on the radio.
AT least you are safe and sound, hope you can get all your electronics repaired soon.

Honey I'm in SC It has been weird weather all week one minute nicenext who knows. I know the storms Tuesday were whoppers. So scarey. But everyone is safe and sound.

Sorry to hear about the damage you had with the storm. It is great that you are o.k. and that your house didn't burn down. I hope that your designs are still intact - in your hard drive. I know that I would be upset if I lost the thousand of designs that I have purchased and downloaded for free. Even though alot of designs are free it takes alot of time to look for them and download them. I have spent alot of time saving them to my computer and to an external hard drive -- I have most of them saved in two places so no storm or computer crash will take out my designs.

Thanks I had to take the computer to see if they could fix it which they could not but my designs are still there so if I get another one they can download everything on to the new one. Then I"ll get em off. hehehe
