Thank you for answering. I used the suggestion from "sllakin" and converted it via a tool at Embroidery Designs. Nice squirrel .. glad I asked about it (while I still remembered it was there ..heehee).

Go to: http://www.embroiderydesigns.com - you will need to sign up for free (You can also get free designs here - 3 per week)

After you join the site - look on the left side of the page - you may need to scroll down a bit -- then click on Embroidery Tools -- choose "On Line Conversion Tool" --- then follow the directions on that page -- I uploaded the pes file and converted it to HUS and it opens fine now in my Viking 4D Software!

and Yes you can get the previous letters to the alpha that Eric posted -- Go to this link: http://turquoise210.designblog.fr/r1571/Broderies-machine/
then on the left side see where it says "Les rubriques"-- click on "Alphabet D gratuit (11) " and you can get the letters offered - however we are having trouble getting the "H" - the link does not work.

Thank you so much for all the info. The Conversion Tool worked great, as did the rest of your comment. And yes, I also have trouble with the H. THANKS AGAIN.
