Being a "butterfly" person, I would embroider a butterfly diagonally on one corner.
Another thing you can make with a washcloth is a "Boo Boo Bunny"

I have so many blank towels, wash cloths and T-Shirts, just waiting for the perfect opportunity or occasion to arise! I have often thought of much larger projects, too, but I am notorious for not finishing a project. SO...I have all kinds of fabric, just waiting me to start the projects that I will never finish. LOL!

You could do flowers for someone's guest bath as a gift. You could also do kitchen designs; then the washcloth would be pretty enough to leave hanging out even when company is over.

These are both good ideas...thanks!*

If there are others in your family you could put an initial in the corner. So each person has their own washcloths. Hugs.

This will sound funny, but the most popular christmas gift I gave this past christmas was a basket with an embroidered roll of toilet paper, matching wash cloth, soap etc.. Just a simple butterfly or something simple makes it a unique year round gift.

You are right - that would make a very nice gift.....I haven't made an embroidered roll of TP yet. Wash it hard to do?*
not really just need to make sure its not a very dense design.

I just finished embroidering CuteAlphabets Rose Alpha on towel and matching washcloth.
And I'm doing the same with Cute Butterfly Alpha and Pansy Alpha.
The Rose alpha turned out great but MIL was so thrilled she took it away with her so I can't post a photo 'til she comes back.
I love monogrammed bath linen.
hugs n roses, M
