It's a meandering line used in quilting to fill in areas. Kind of looks like jigsaw puzzle. Here's some examples for embroidery machines. (that's cheating, you know :)

LOL Thank you, I saw it on a web site. Have not ventured into quilting ....Yet..
Normally it's done with free motion so you guide where the lines are--with embroidery, you just hoop it and there it is!
Will have to give it a try and who knows,,,
