The hearts on the quilt were appliqued using the embroidery machine and the quilted hearts were done using the placement stitch-out from the applique pattern. I made this quilt using Sharon Pedersen's 'reversible quilt' technique and I'm very pleased with the result, but it did entail a lot of hand stitching!!

Lovely quilt, Shirley. I'll have to look up what the reversible quilt technique entails. At a guess you sew the quilted blocks together with the thin strips and have to do one of the seams by hand.
