Good discussion, I like the way she's open to what works for you! We all have different machines, use different types of thread, and a hint that works for one may not work for another. The metallic needle is highly recommended, though, with the larger eye to keep from shredding. Having said that, I'm usually too lazy to change needles, and I don't have a problem. But I normally only do tiny accents in metallic, sometimes as little as 50 stitches, just enough for sparkle. Good information and discussion, thanks! Marji
