wonderful, but leaving is heart braking. Chance are that we will not see each other again me being in the States and him living in Germany. We made every minute count. The weather was absolutely wonderful and everything was in full spring bloom. I missed you guys. Now I get busy reading.

Who knows maybe I will make the trip again. At 65 years old 11 hours on a plane is pretty strenous.

I did have a great visit and the distance is now more apparent. What if he needs help?
by clawton 06 Jun 2009
I'm sure he will call. Are there other family members there or close friends/neighbors? Just keep in touch so that he knows you care.

Dear Angie, How wonderful you got to spend all that time with your dear Dad. I am so sorry to read that it may be your last time of spending time with him. On the other hand, oh! what wonderful memories you must have of him. I also hope you took lots of pictures. Life is all about memories and we all have those to look forward to..

Love and blessings and welcome back. Love Chris

Yes Chris I took lots of pictures. Maybe I will post one of them in the next few days.

Oh, Chris, your card made my eyes leak! I keep this farm for my Dad, even tho he's gone, I think he likes my being here. I'd give anything to be with him again, I miss him so much. We used to fight like cats & dogs till I was an adult & I realised he fought to make me strong, and make me defend my own beliefs, all I am he made me. Darn. Enjoy your Dads, who still have them. Hugs, Marji

Glad that you are home safe - it will be a trip - that will bring fond memories - don't look at what will or will not happen - look at what did. *4U

Glad to see you back and that you could spend a lot of time with your dad, just think of all the memories that this visit has brought you and you must feel better after leaving your dad. Yes it has been lovely weather the last weeks in Germany, we went there as well.
