The ART format is exclusive to Bernina I think. There are many programs that convert FROM ART but the only software that converts TO ART is the bernina Artista software.

Good luck on this one, Lynn. I know Janome Digitizer Pro won't read or write ART, because Artista is written by Wilcom as well, and they have mutual exclusivity. But surely there must be some software out there that writes or converts to ART, I can't believe that every digitizing website out there has Artista to be able to offer the ART format. It just seems to be a secret. Stick around, someone may know. Good luck, hugs, Marji

Moonz328 has hit the nail on the head! I used to work for a Bernina Store and that is what I was told as well - nothing converts ART format except the Artista Software!
*4U!

EVERY digitizer that wants to offer ART has to purchase Artista software? Wow. I thought there was some way the pro's could get around that. Guess it makes the gift designs all that more valuable, when you think the designer has to purchase at least 2 sets of digitizing software to do them, because Bernina won't recognize or write Janome's JEF. Pain in the neck, but gotta admire the business minds at Bernina that came up with that one, ensuring their income, hee hee hee. Good luck, Lynn!! Hugs, Marji

I convert Art to Pes. When I had a bernina art was the format I had to use. *

Floriana did a comparison of different brands of software and the only one that could convert to ART was indeed Artista software.
