Hello Cuties! I need some ideas. We are having a bake sale. Since I'm not so good at baking, I would like to embroider something. Any ideas?

Aprons, potholders, dishtowels and magnets! Do you have any cupcake designs? I have a really cute applique one. I'll have to find out where it came from. I know the cupcake magnet with cherry on top came from embroidery library. I'd rather buy something I could use, than eat :)

I'd rather buy something I could eat also. So I am also thinking about brownies in a jar and embroidering the lid. Or soup in a jar. Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh, I read wrong, you would rather buy something you could USE. That gives me hope! Thanks!

Brownies in a jar or cookies--GREAT IDEA! Then they can make and eat them when they want!

I've got the directions for Chunky Chocolate Cookie Mix in a jar--let me know if you want it. Sounds really easy.

I would love it! Thank you!

I like the magnet idea too! That would fit the theme! I'll have to see if I can find out how to make those.

I knew I saw a cupcake recently, there is a cupcake applique at Golden Needle Designs.

If you've gone to Cassandra's web site she has serviette sets which are rather cute. If you like doing applique or fsl, you might consider wine glass footies or coasters.

I have a couple of packs for you. They are titles "Baking" & "Bakery Foods". How quaint. There are also packs that contain labels that you can embroider for nuts, spices, and misc.

I put a receipe for a really simple, easy, no time, butterscotch candie treat that people flock to under personals...no baking required...about 5 mins. prep and about 1 hour to cool in fridge...

If you look in the personal tab at the top of the community section for the post, the recipe is there.

Everybody has such cute ideas! Personally, I would LOVE to go to a bake sale and find some pot holders, or the cookies in a jar things. I love to support our church, but I am gluten intolerant, so normal baked goods are out. You might think of making some 'cupcake' things that kids could buy instead of sweets, too, lots of kids are allergic or intolerant of wheat, sugar, eggs, all the good stuff in baked goods. This was a swell post to read, hope you have as good a time doing your 'baking' on your machine, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji

Oh, just a thought, if you actually make any of the no bake candies, etc., list the ingredients on the bags? It is SO wonderful for me when I go to a sale, and can be assured I won't be purchasing something that will make me sick. Moms with allergic kids will kiss your feet. M

Thank you! At first I thought it would be crazy to do something that was not edible, but I am inspired now! And I agree that it is good to list the ingredients!

Today is the bake sale and this is what I made! They actually look much nicer then the picture shows. These designs can be found in Designs by Cuties. We are doing this bake sale to benefit a friend who was in a snowmobile accident in January and probably will never work again. He has two school age boys. He has mounting medical bills and now he needs to have his arm amputated because the damage to the bones is not healing. We sent out flyers for pre-orders to neighboring businesses and the response has been amazing. We have over $1400 in pre-orders! I hope we have a huge day today! Thanks for all of your support! Maureen
