Yes I have started to make a baby quilt for the new one. It's them is sea friends, so I have made a heap of cute blocks with sea creatures on it, in between I am doing bright colour co-ordinating strip blocks. When I start assembling it, I will post a pic or 2 of it in progress. This IS a great excuse to get the embroidery juices & sewing moving around here. Does anyone know where I could get a kids border to go with the sea friends? I have not seen any around, mostly flowers & the like... maybe someone ho does designs around here could come up with some "Kiddy" type borders.

Congratulations - That is SO exciting! So much fun planning what to make but it's so much easier once you know the sex of the baby!

Enjoy!

Hi there "Reggirl" - first of all congratulations on the forthcoming grandchild.

Secondly - where do you live. I live in Newcastle!

Thirdly, I did a sea theme quilt for my first grandchild (a boy nearly 4 years ago)and did all the creatures.

Fourthly a great site for borders is RN- EmbroideryRN designs - have a look at her Simple borders site and look through the pages. There are crabs on there I know that.

Love and blessings Chris
