I make it alot. I find that it lasts MUCH MUCH longer than the store bought stuff.

If I didn't have any brown sugar, i'd grab an empty cup and go and borrow a cupful from my next door neighbour. Cause I sure as Heaven would never have any molasses! LOL!!

You're so funny, Meganne!!! Don't you Aussies have a lot of cane fields? Wouldn't molasses be a kind of staple for you, or only in certain areas of the country? Interesting. Hugs, Marji

I used to give molasses to my horses.

But no, molasses hasn't been a staple here for decades. Maybe it is still popular in the cane fields, which are in Queensland, but since I've never been there I have no way of knowing.

Australia is far larger than Americans think it is.... it takes roughly 7 hours to fly across it in a 747 Jumbo.

Maybe some of the Queenslanders can tell us if they use molasses regularly.
