Hi Marie, I use Pulse Ambassador from Tajima
Wilcom also has a free program and works a bit like pulse Ambassador. Both easy to use.
good luck

You probably won't find a programme that converts to or from ART. Only Bernina software will do that.

Husqvarna/Pfaff 3D can convert from ART, not to it. So does Embird. And Wilcom's TrueSizer - which is free - does it as well. Just open the file and use 'save as' to the format you want. It's the other way round - from any format to art - that's impossible. And there may be others, but those I the three I'm familiar with.

I second the recommendation for https://www.embroiderydesigns.com/myconvertedfiles.aspx. It converts to 19 different formats and it's free. Registration is required.

Hello bokkieborduur,
I, too, had .art files I wished to convert to another format and found the following: Embird 2008 opened the file only as a thumbnail even though it was the embroidery file and no conversion was available. The latest version of Buzz Edit 2 will only open .art files up to version 3. (I had no way of knowing what version these files were created in.)
However, with Pulse Ambassador (free from the link below) I was able to open in full size and save to my format. There is another program on the same site called Tajima DG/ML which may do the same but I have a previous version of this that would not open .art. Hope this information is of assistance.
Kind regards, Bev
