Hi Monica! If it's an embro file of a buttonhole, I just mark the spot where I want it making sure I mark both vertical & horiz. center, then instead of hooping my material, I hoop the tear away, center and baste the fabric in the hoop before I emb it. Carefully tear it away (after removing the basteing stitches); move the designs either up, down, over so you have another solid piece of tear away & do the next one. Can get several in one hooping. Is this clear?
