Well, I'm glad you have your computer back. I'm still waiting for mine. I use a free Anti-Virus program called AVG. Type AVG Free into your search engine. THis is a great program, and I rarely have virus issues. It will scan your computer daily, and you can schedule it to update virus deffinitions daily, as well.

yes using the right virus program is very important. you so have to watch free programs that are out there. people will tell you it is a virus program for free but it will actually give you viruses not stop them. It is one of those things that hackers like to do, so always make sure the site you are getting your free programs from is legit.

I switched to Advist. I've had good luck with it in the past with other computers... so we'll see.

I'm with waterlilly. I use AVG. Scan regularly, get the updates when they come up and SCAN YOUR FILES before you open them!

Kaspersky is rated either #1 or #2 (depending on which IT rating company) of all anti-virus software out there for 2009. I have the program and LOVE it. This software has caught more viruses and trojans that are loaded on sites than any other program I've had (and I've used AVG and Norton).
As with any program, make sure you have the software activated and the security settings on high.
