Welcome to Cute. I would also like to know if the Magna-Hoop is worth the price. It is on sale now at Designs in Machine Emb for $99-99 which is a lot of money for me as I must pay in Rands and then it is x 8 for a $. Anybody got one?

I have one. I use it for things that I don't want crushed, like velvet, furs, suede, etc. I also use it for the tiny tips of hankerchiefs, men's dresssleeve monograms, baby collar tips. It depends on what you sew most and what you anticipate doing. Would I pick the magnetic hoop over the standard if I had to choose one or the other? No. If mine broke would I replace it? Yes. Because of what I do and use it for. It will NOT hold bath towels, at least the type that I embroider. I don't feel it is stable enough for t-shirts. It is good for what it is meant for. Hope this helps.;)
