Design #1. That second border picks up the colors from the frame. No matter which one this is going to be gorgeous.

Hi Deanna, I personally like the Number 1 design. I also agree with the second internal sashing picking up the outer border colour. Only thing is of course you are going to have to put more little squares than the second version. It is wonderful, well done.
