some dear friends of mine lost their house and everything they owned in the Fire that threatened Yosemite and burned thousands of acres and many homes. They are about to get back into their rebuilt home and I want to make them some things. I have a picture of the plane he had to sell, (the only thing not on the property) as insurance never covers all expenses, and would like to know if someone would digitize the picture for me. If asking this is not acceptable. I do apologize.

We are just recovering from one of our worst bush fires in Australia, Feb.7th, 2009, Victoria(Black Saturday). This is the least I can do.

Were they in Midpines or Mariposa? My GM lives in Midpines and Mom and Dad in Mariposa... was a nasty fire, that's for sure! We're still recovering from the one in San Diego (2nd bad one). You're very kind to make them something for their new home. :-)

yes, they live in Mariposa, CA. It was a nasty fire and Thank God they made it out alive. It hit their house during the night and he didnt even have time to go back in for clothes he was in his undies only. The fire department showed up and he was on his tractor in his underwear putting out fires that was popping up around his place to keep it from spreading to neighbors. The fire department gave him a pair of turnouts to wear till he could get some kind of clothing somewhere. I have prayed for everyone that lost so much in that fire. I never realized that insurance leaves you with very little to rebuild on. They have had to fight for every penny to rebuild.

You are so sweet to help them in this way. I cannot imagine losing everything, although it has happened to family, in the past.

for such good friends I feel I cannot do enough to help them, so the things I feel I can do I really want to make them personal if I can.
