I attended a craft class on Saturday, as soon as I have done my couching i will post a pic here. It is beautiful and so easy, you can buy a couching foot (only available for some makes of machines) it works on the embroidery machine. I have a singer and they dont have a couching foot - but i am going to try the foot that i use for embroidery, just need to watch it and guide the wool through.

Couching is when you lay some yarn or other thick thread on top of your fabric and then sew it down on each side at intervals.

can this be done on an embroidery machine? I have seen some candlewicking but not couching.
