I'm doing the happy dance 'big time' tonight. I saw the oncologist today and it is confirmed, I have had my last chemo treatment. YEEHAH!!!!

I now have five years of hormone therapy ahead of me, which the Oncologist said is almost MORE IMPORTANT than the chemo.
One of the cancers I had was oestrogen receptor positive, which means all the Oestrogen my body produces is capable of mutating into cancer cells so the drugs I will be on are to totally destroy all the Oestrogen my body produces over the next five years. After that? Who knows?
I guess I'd better buy an electric razor to shave my moustache!!! LOL!!!
Still, the good news is I am cancer free, for now, and I should start feeling more myself, possibly as soon as a month but it may take a lot longer. NOT if I have anything to say about it! :-)

Congratulations!!!If your hair is not growing by now, it will start in 2 weeks, feel behind your ears, it is where start growing first, LOL. My cancer was to HER+, I do take medications every day for five years two, they had changed them several times, because some of them use to make me real sick.Good luck.

That is WONDERFUL!! The celebration yesterday could have been for you also! If I was close to you(in miles) I would bake you one of my famous Red Velvet Cakes or maybe my Sour Cream Pound Cake (with my little secret). When I was catering, I always had to do either or both for everything. My son wanted my Red V. for his Groom's cake. I catered the reception. They have their 1st anniversary coming up next month. I am so happy that the chemo is over and your body can begin to repair itself from the horrible invasion. May the Lord keep you in his hands and heal you and let you have a wonderful long and happy life. You are so full of everything good. You are always there for everyone that needs help no matter how you feel. You do so much for all of us and always have on your happy face even if you do not feel like it! Even now I find it almost impossible to accept that I had "cancer", and when I do think about it, it's scary stuff thinking just how close I came to being on the 'other' statistic list.
