Can't find the website, says it does not exist. I'd really have to see these things. What would be the purpose of a laundry bag that dissolves in water? Don't you have a laundry bag to contain things, like lingerie, and keep them from getting mixed in with the other things? Be that as it may, seems like it would be a lot of trouble to cut something up to use it as stabilizer, rolls or bolts are more convenient. Designs by Sick sells stabilizers, and they are rather inexpensive. They come from the man who developed stabilizer for Walter Floriani, so I'd imagine they were good. I'll keep trying the website, I have to see these bags now, just to satisfy my curiosity. Hugs, Marji

These bags are to be used to take the place of solvy. I am in no way recommending their use I just thought how strange. I dont use anything on my machine not meant for it. I hear some people use coffee filters and even septic tank liner as alternatives to stabilizers,if it works for them great! I know I cant afford another machine so I use what I know is meant for it

Not come across septic tank liners, they sound interesting but dont think I would want to use them for stabiliser. I too value my machine
Ok, got it! As hospital laundry bags they make sense! I was thinking of at home, duh. I would think they'd be ok for a topper, as Jasanne said, they look like the plastic wrap stuff. I don't really think they'd harm anything, and if you use a lot of topping, probably would be worth the trouble to save the expense. I don't use that much topper, and am way too lazy to cut stuff up. I would think a digitizer wouldn't sell or recommend anything harmful to your machine. Cute site! Good luck, Marji

After posting my comment I then went to the website to read. The bags sound fine and as they dissolve would not be a problem. If you are able to get some try them out, I would. Happy sewing

If the bags are being used for hospitals or to dissolve in a laundery they will be OK or they would have many irate customers

My dealer sells them, they are way cheaper than solvy topper. They are called hospital bags here. They are used in hospitals for putting contaminated washing in and then the whole bag is thrown in the washer and the bag disolves away. I got one to try, it is a bit softer than the 'real' stuff so you have to hoop it in tight. They can definitely only be used as a TOPPER on towels or fleece etc. It similar to the very thin solvy topper, NOT suitable for lace.

Aha! Another good use! Amazing to think they hold up well enough to put in laundry carts, etc. for commercial laundries. Must be fairly strong. Thanks for the info, Maria! Hugs, Marji

Yes I have tried them and also done FSL on it, I have not had a problem except from heavy stitching around the outer satin stitch edge it starts to tear away from the whole piece. But FSL turned out fine, no problem....
I used two layers at a time...
