Blair, I think you should be able to find a design of a girl pirate, may be some at Designs by SiCK, if I remember right (and that's a big IF, hee hee hee). As for the name, does your machine have built in fonts? I have a Janome 300E and there are a couple fonts already in the machine, small letters less than an inch. I can just use the touch screen and print a name into the machine and sew it out. Do you need help with stabilizers, placement, etc., too? What kind of machine do you have? This may not be much help but my first stop when I'm looking for a specific design is to search Designs bySick (as suggested by Marji)
Then I search using Google, Then I visit places like EmbroideryLibrary (there's a girl pirate here).

I have artwork for a pirate girl but I haven't digitised it yet and don't plan to until I catch up on some of my long overdue projects, sorry.

If you buy a design and just want some text done let me know as text is quite quick to digitise.

You can get your free girl pirate here. I think you have to sign up for the newsletter, but it is NOT daily or weekly. I think I only get one every couple of weeks or so. There are lots of nice designs here.
