I got my 25 year old daughter interested in embroidery and sewing. She made these for her friend who is due to have her first baby very soon. They have been close since college years. Our daughter Susan has been very sick for the past 3 years. Finally they found the miracle drug combination and she has been doing well for the past year. She will continue to take these potent and expensive drugs for the rest of her life.

She did a fantastic job! Bet doing this makes her happy and takes her mind off her illness, if only for a while. I hope her miracle combination lasts forever. She sounds like a sweetie!

Cindy, they are so cute, your daughter must enjoy doing this too! I hope they will find a cure for your daughter's illness, not taking drugs for the rest of her life. Love, Yoriko

Thank you Peggy. She has improved greatly, but eats like a bird. I know that some of that is do to the drugs. The sewing keeps her mind off of her illness.

Thank you very much. She is doing so much better. Thank God she has a job where her employers are very understanding when she needs to be out for her treatments every 8 weeks.

What a wonderful gift for her friend. I'm sure that Susan's friend will be especially proud knowing that it must be extra difficult for Susan to make these herself. You are good teacher.;)

Thank you so much. She is a great daughter. Learning to do things with her hands helps her cope with her illness. She is a meteorologist by her college degree. But is unable to work in that field due to the infusions and medications she has to be on.

Could you please tell the site where the spotted doggie came from. I had them and cannot find them on my computer.

Cindy, these are a great gift for Susan's friend and what a joy it must be for you - to see her work turn out so great - hopefully she finds this to be a passion that helps her as she keeps improving and perhaps they will find a cure - and she will not have to go through the drug treatment - what a thrill you must get from her and her work. *4U

Thank you Shirlene. She is a great daughter and it is really hard to see her in so much pain some days. Most of her days are good, but when it gets close to her having her treatment she starts to have quite a bit of pain. Sometimes they have to bump her treatment up from every 8 weeks to the seventh week. She is off to treatment today, but when she returns whe will be totally exhausted and has to rest for an hour or so, before she can return to work.
