I know I have seen Redwork kitchen designs for days of the week (just can't remember where)!! I'm sure there is a cutie out there who will respond.....Most are "vintage" designs!

Thank you blamblen, i have found a vintage design for my kitchen towels, now I look for a decorative project for the 7 sunbonnet design, and it is why i ask for your ideas

Embroidery Library has some nice DOW redwork/linework designs. I have the set with the different fruit designs with week day names. They show doing the orange in orange and grapes in purple, but I coordinated my thread color with the towel and did them all the same color. Everyone I have done them for have loved them. Hope this helps.

Claude, bringing you back to the top for more ideas for those sunbonnet designs. Perhaps you could stitch them out on squares, and make a small lap quilt? You could drape it over the back of the sofa, or perhaps a chair in your sewing room? It might make a cute wall hanging, too. With 7 designs, could you make a table runner, either for your kitchen or dining room, or perhaps for a side table somewhere. How large is each design? Good luck, hope you get more answers, Hugs, Marji

Thank you, i like the idea of a table runner, perhaps it will be better not to put on it the names of the days???

No, for a table runner or wall hanging, I wouldn't use the day names, just the designs. I'm sure you can take the name out easily enough, it's probably the last color stop. Good luck, big hugs, Marji

Claude perhaps you could make yourself some aprons, you know the kind with the bib on the top, and you could have a different one for each day of the week.
You could put the design on the bib section and also on the pocket, add some colourful rick rack braid around the hemline, they would look so pretty and keep your clothes clean too.

Hugs n roses, Meganne

Could you stitch them out and frame them for wall art in your kitchen? If you have wall space that is a grouping of 4 or 6 would be nice. Peggy

I saw a lovely quilted shames (pillows) and bed topper made with some - that was lovely. But you could easily do a table topper and some wall hangings for your kitchen - like this. *4U
