If you go to your local florist they have them. They are used when they receive flowers to protect the flowers. Most of the time they just throw them away. Just ask them to save some for you

Very soft stretch netting is best, not tulle, similar but much softer.
Jasanne has very kindly put the link to my project and many answers there.

I recently bought some two way stretch net for $6.99 metre, it is really wide so should make even more thread nets than the first lot.
