Wanted to make something for my friend Anne's birthday this weekend and came up with this idea....Used the new alphabet from Sew Weird, fortunately the first letter being A worked out great...used toweling by the yard and it is a soft peach shade which is hard to tell from the picture...always like to give her something she will get use out of....hope she likes it...used varigated thread for the alphabet and it turned out great...

I like to give gifts that are useful too. I like this idea. Where did you get your towel fabric, as the only place we have is Hobby Lobby and frankly theirs sucks! I did a rob for my Grandson and I thought it really looked thin, but made the robe anyway and did i lovely frog on the pocket with rib-it on the other pocket and his initials...the first time he wore it, it tore next to the seam! Did not unravel...tore, you could pull side ways on the fabric and it would tear! I was so sick I bought flannel from a quilt shop and did it again! So would be interested in where you got yours. Great job by the way....Peggy

I live in Montreal Peggy and bought the terry toweling from a fabric store in Laval, It was very wide so I only needed at meter and it cost $8.00 and change. There were different qualities and I bought the heavier one..
