I have had a cough for three weeks now and at first they thought it was allergies, then I had a low grade fever so they gave me antiobotics, then I landed in the hospital with pneumonia and a cracked rib from coughing so hard.
They did so many tests because they think it might be something more serious than pheumonia and during the ct scan of my lungs they found a nodule on my thyroid so they want to biopsy that. If they can't find anything from the other tests they will want to biopsy my lungs also.
I came home yesterday (still on oxygen) and am now playing the waiting game. It will take at least a week for the test results to come back.
I can't really talk about it here at home because I don't want to freak my kids out any more than they already are. So I thought I would come here for some support and prayers from my cute family.

There have been some really nasty strains of pneumonia going around, it seems, Maureen. My SIL had it last year and relapsed 3 times before they finally got it licked. I do hope they find the right antibiotic, and that your test results give you the best possible outcome. Sending you my biggest cyber-hugs, because real ones would only make you cough more! I feel for you - I only have a bad head and chest cold and boy does it make you cough. I pray that the doctors will get the results to you quickly.
