trying on 15 dresses Renee finally found one that she was happy with and it was the last one!!! Although there was one that I cried so much when she put it on, she looked beautiful in it and I think that it finally hit home with me that she will be a Bride very soon. And there is a 6 months waiting list to get a dress as all the ones that the stores had are just samples. Then would you believe it, I found the exact same dress that Renee wants on line from a store in China where the Dresses are customed made and shipped to you and the price was fantastic, only $190.00 for the dress and then $15.00 shipping cost, this price is in US Dollars and even with the change over for Australian Dollars it is still so much cheaper to go this way.

So, we are both happy, as I don't have to make it, in such a short space of time and Renee will have exactly the dress that she wants...
Thanks for listening
Sheryl

Shopping for a wedding dress is a very special moment for both Mother and daughter. The next 6 months will fly by and then she will be walking down the aisle. Enjoy all this time together. Take it easy and enjoy each day as it comes. I am glad to hear you got such a fantastic deal on the dress for her.

This is wonderful news Sheryl. Having "married off" 4 girls I know exactly what shopping for a bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses & mother of the bride dress is like. I'm glad u were able to find what u wanted on line. We had no computer back in the days when I had to deal with it. *4U

sheryl, I'm so pleased that your daughter found her wedding dress in one day. I've know girls spend weeks going from one shop to another, then starting all over again. Now you can enjoy all the planning, love and hugs sweetie, and not having to make her wedding dress means that you can spend more time here on Cute, haha!

My daughter and I never got to the "it's so beautiful" crying stage while she was trying on gowns. She had her mind set on some designer gown, and there was NO WAY she was going to get it. The sales lady told me to just let her try it on anyway--sure enough, she hated it on. Then we got back to some serious shopping. Even tho you are getting the dress made in China, plan on alterations once you get it. I wouldn't doubt my daughters gown was made in China--just about everything is.

I cried too, when I saw my daughters trying on wedding dresses. I guess it just hits home. The last one of my 3 daughters married 10 years ago. Boy that is a wonderful price. Hopefully the alterations will be reasonable too.

Isn't it a double edged sword? There is this beautiful, take your breath away, woman, who is hiding your baby girl behind those eyes. It is a joyful day, and the start of her new life and seeing her in that dress makes it true. Good for you for finding the dress of her dreams.;)

I remember shopping with my daughter for her wedding gown. I told her not to look at the price (because she didn't want an expense one) just try them on then pick. After narrowing down from 15 gowns and three visits to the store, she finally chose the one she wanted. It turned out to be the less expense of them all. We paid $800. and she looked like a princess. Her Father even have a tear in his eye when he saw her in it on her wedding day (14 years ago). It is the great day in a parents life when a daughter gets married. Not that a son isn't imporatant, but there is something special about a daughter.

Sheryl, I was just thinking about you and Renee just the other day - maybe the day your tried on the dress - I don't know for sure - any way - I was hoping that the dress that she wanted would be found - how wonderful - that you were able to find just the dress online and it will be cheaper, too. AMAZING! When my Mother, myself, her to-be mother-in-law and my daughter - Sheila went looking for her dress - we all had our own idea's of what she should wear - the strange thing is - the dress that I saw - that her to-be mother-in-law saw and that she picked out - was the very same dress - she was a beauty in it - and I still look at the picture of her - even though it was over nine years ago and can't believe that we all saw the same dress and loved it and it looked so great on her, too. CONGRATULATIONS!

Thanks alot Shirlene, the one that I loved Renee in, she loves as well, but, says its not practical!!! Damm being practical on your Wedding Day I said, you only do this once but, in Renee's case she will be doing this twice, once in Italy and once here in Australia so, how lucky is she to wear the same lovely dress twice.
