Used to gather up the shirt tail of a T shirt at the side or back. It makes the shirt look different when it is gathered at the waist.

Years ago would tie up the corners of the t shirts then those belt buckle looking things came out an you could thread the corners of the shirt thru them,it would make the tshirt tight around your hips or waist.
