Tanuja, very nice work and great picture of the use of the basting stitch - can't wait to see once you remove the stitching and the topping and see your towel with that CUTE alpha 'T' on it. Great job - *4U

Very nice. This is the way I like to do towels. I have a program that I use for basting stitch around my designs.

I think you will never embroider without a bastingstitch anymore. I have bastingstitches in my machine and it is very handy, I use them always. By the way, Lovely towel and good use of the CUTE alpha

This is beautiful. I haven't tried basting or towels. Now I'm feeling a little braver. Thanks for sharing!

Do you need the basting stitches moved closer to your hoop? Just email me which size hoop it was and how much room you had left between the stitches and the hoop.
Sometimes you can get as close as .25" but since all machines are different I tend to err on the side of caution. :-)
Other than that I am really glad you found them helpful.

Very pretty. Love your choice of colors. I use basting stitches for almost everything. With the arthritis in my hands, it is too difficult to hoop.

Okay, I have a basting stitch on my machine, but I have never used it without the item being hooped...How do you make sure it is lined up correctly? I would love to do towels this way, do you use spray to hold it down till you get it on the machine? Great job by the way... Peggy
